What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us."

We Believe

The following are the core beliefs of Bethel Evangelical Church based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. For more detailed descriptions and Scripture-references please click the "Articles of Faith" button below.

We Believe The Bible

The Bible is the inspired Word of God and without mistakes as originally written. It is the complete revelation of His will for salvation and the only unfailing rule of faith and practice for the Christian life.

We Believe God is three in One

God is the Creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and these are co-eternal and equal of dignity and power.

WE believe In Jesus

Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. We believe in His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His substitutionary death on the cross; His bodily resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and His personal, imminent return.

We Believe our disobedience has deadly consequences

Man was created by and for God. As a consequence of man's disobeying God, every person incurred a spiritual death, which is separation from God, as well as physical death. All people are sinners by nature and practice.

We believe Jesus saves us from our sin

The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins. All who believe in Him are declared righteous because of His sacrificial death and therefore are in right relationship with God eternally.

WE Believe God's Spirit lives in believers

The present ministry of the Holy Spirit is the indwelling all believers, enabling and empowering the life and ministry of the believer.

We Believe Heaven and HEll are real

In the end of days there will be a bodily resurrection of everyone who has lived, the eternal blessing of those in right relationship with God, and the eternal punishment of those who have rejected God's forgiveness in His Son, Jesus Christ.

The Evangelical Church

Bethel Church is a member of  the Western Conference of the Evangelical Church.  Bethel Church is part of a network of churches who support each other and hold one another accountable. We are not only concerned with the health of our church. The Bible teaches that all the churches are connected and form one church. We want to always remember that we are part of something bigger. We also join the conference in supporting missionaries that are spreading the good news about Jesus around the world.
